These are some of the doily's I have made recently.

I call this one the butterfly.

This one is a pineapple with popcorn stitch.

Basketweave Crochet Stitch

This is a pretty easy, stitch although it looks complex. The idea is to loop your double crochets -(DC), triple crochets-(TC) or double triple crochets-(DTC) around the post of the previous stitch. You will see those stitches referred to as (FPDC)-Front Post Double Crochet or (BPDC)-Back Post Double Crochet. You just do what it says, wrap your yarn around the post of the previous stitch, either the front or the back. You can incorporate the stitch into any pattern to add a variation. Let your imagination wander when it comes to crochet.
