Hi Teresa, Your videos are always great and this pattern looks really cool! I want to do a cap for 3 year old. Will this pattern fit? I'm from Blore, India and dont go by hook size as we dont get that here. And I always end up getting a smaller cap than the measurements you give. I will short by an inch or so. How should I increase the size of the cap?

Anitha,
The way I have made the hat, it will fit a head 21-23". Hats are made according to the size of the persons head.

Thanks for the pattern! It looks good :) I'm wondering if you have made a beanie using the treble stitch? With mostly 3tr in each space...I had a beanie like this and wanted to use it to make a pattern but I can't find it :( Any ideas?

felicitylouise85,
That almost sounds like the granny type pattern. That is something I can add to my project list.

My beanie came out baby sized! :O Maybe it's because I used thin worsted wight yarn an was working too tightly. I will try it again though; I'll add more rows of increases, that should fix it.

Sarah,
The smaller yarn will make a difference in addition to your individual crochet style. Adding more increase rounds will make the hat larger.

Between your youtubing and blogger you single handedly taught me how to crochet in about one afternoon. You're a fantastic teacher. Thanks. Oh, and I made this hat and I look great in it!

You taught me how to make a skull cap on youtube. It is such a good video that I purchased it. Made one for my daughter and one for my granddaughter and now everyone wants one. They are quick, easy and fun.
Thanks Teresa
