Maritza,
The pattern is a one size fits all since the triangle shape can be smaller or larger. When using a tie string around the back and top, they can be made larger or smaller. I did not make it with a specific size in mind.
i made my little girl one of these last fall .. and put picks up on my blog.. check it out.. i have a pattern for a 2t sized one i wrote if anyone is interested.. also mine has bottomes.. http://crazycrochetchic.blogspot.com/2009/03/finished-few-projects.html
Very nice--do you have a bottom pattern to go with it by any chance?
Can't wait to try this one out! I've been wanting to make bikinis for a long time, and your post reminded me that it's time to start making them. Thank you!
may i know how well this piece will be able to hold in the water? Thanks for sharing too. I have chanced on your videos on you tube and am slowly looking thru them.
Thanks again
Arkerchi,
I do not have the answer for how well it will hold up in water. I did research and had several women write telling me that they have gone swimming with crochet bikinis. It will also depend on your yarn choice. Some yarn is not recommended to be washed. Cotton yarn may be one of the better choices.
Pretty!Thanks!!
Thank you so much for posting this project! I can't wait to start making some bikini tops for myself and friends. I did a few crochet projects based on lessons from your blog. You can see mine here:
