  1. Hi
Am very thankful to for such a wonderful instruction regarding "crochet Baby booty". It was so easy for me to follow the instructions, as they so simple & self explanatory.

I would like to crochet a mitten. If you dont mind, could you please post the instruction to crochet a mitten ? It will be so helpful if you could post the videos also....

    Thanks & Regards

  2. Thank you for this pattern. Your videos have been so helpful. I just learned that I am going to become a grandma next summer, so I have been brushing off my crochet skills.

What weight yarn do you use for this pattern and do you know what size they are?

  3. alajnabiya,
I used the baby weight yarn 3-ply. You can use 2-ply and the booty will be a little bit smaller. The size is 3 to 3-1/2 inches.

  4. Thank you so much! I am going to try them today.

  5. Hi

i really appriciate your wonderful work, i never knew anything about crochet, but now with your help i have done a few things following your videos.........

i have a question regarding the booty sole instruction on round 3&4 you said to ch3,in the back loop, DC in ea of the nxt 45 sts(46 sts)

i would like to make new born baby clothes like sweater, trousers, socks etc if you dont mind. could you please post instructions and videos of them?

  6. Fatma,
It is just for the one round. You can go through both in the next round.

  7. Hi,
Thanks so much for the instructions n video, its so helpful and easy to do for a beginner like me.I always wanted to crochet but your videos are the best.I did this booties for my nephew and has turned out well.

  8. In this world there anybody try allways to earn money you give your advices for free. I really appreciate your unselfish way. Although I learn crochet 40 years ago and don´t need a help, my doughter does and she thinks that the way you explain is much better then mine. And I aqgree. Thank you. The world would be nicer place to live if there were more people like you.

  9. Gordana,
Thank you very much. I appreciate your comment.

  10. Thanks Teresa, you are such a good instructor. I made my first baby booties with your help. One of them turned out a bit bigger than the other. But I will keep practicing. I guess I crocheted an additional row.

  11. Ivonne,
Keep practicing and you will get the hang of it.

  12. Can't wait to crochet for our coming October baby~*THANK YOU!* They are lovely! (((((HUGS))))) sandi~and of course QUICK is good, too! ~smile~

  13. Thank you for taking your time to do this! I am half Finnish and live in Finland so just to let you know that there are women crocheting your patterns in Scandinavia!

  14. I really really want to make a bootie about half the size of this one, I love this pattern, but the bootie is way too big for my newborn no matter what I do. I've tried tiny hooks and I live in an area where I don't have a large selection of yarn, so I use a 3ply baby weight, I've tried changing how many I chain in the beginning and everything but I get stuck, any ideas on how to make a pair that will actually fit my little one??

I really appreciate all your patterns and tutorials, I've learned so much from you!!

  15. Mindy,
You will need to modify the pattern by using less stitches for the starting chain. You will need to continue with using less of everything to get a custom fit.

  16. Rose,
Thank you for the comment. It is wonderful to hear from people around the world.

  17. Hi, my mum expresses her gratitude over your guidance in creating the baby booties. She's really happy because she has finally been able to make something she has wanted to a long time ago. So, I would like to thank you, a hundred times over, for making my mum happy! :-)

  18. JS,
Thank you and please thank you Mom. I appreciate the comments that I get.

  19. i love your blog. your tutorials taught me how to crochet! i used this pattern to make my niece some booties for christmas. instead of the edging i did a row of single crochets and then another of hdc to make them more like a slipper. i will post pics soon! thanks so much!!!

  20. hello and thank you so much for reposting this tutorial. I have been looking for this for ages.. :) I have read it once before and have made several pairs already back when I wasn't pregnant with my new baby girl. Now that she's here I can make her new pairs of crochet booties which she can eventually pass on to her kids.. thanks thanks so much

  21. Love your patterns - the booties and mittens are so fun and oh so cute! Thank you and please don't ever stop =]

  22. Thank you so much for the reply, I appreciate so much your help, i think you the way you talk and with the clarity of your instructions anyone can learn how to crochet. I've been crocheting for years but never went anywhere close to making baby booties, i got to tell you, I made them and they came out AWESOME, they were both the same and my granddaughter is wearing them today..
Congrats on being the best crochet teacher and THX again

  23. i never knew any thing about crochet but i wanted to learn .u have taught me so well teresa!i have tried beenies and booties and they turned out so cute.....thank u so much and god bless u for teaching me this skill.please dont stop and keep teaching me more.thanks again.

  24. Thank you so much for the instructions. I have a question in round 1. It said "2 SC in BEG SP, JOIN." And I don't understand what you mean by 2 SC in BEG SP... whats BEG SP? Please respond.
    Thank you.

    1. Helen - 2 SC is two single crochet. BEG SP is beginning space.

  25. HI,
I came across you blog, because I have my own blog here, not crocheting, just a venting type, anyway, THANK YOU!! I made a few adjustments to mine at the top, no "v" stitch. I was searching for a free pattern and there aren't any out there. I find it very frustrating that so many people want to charge you for every little thing now, "air" included. I love to crochet, knit, and just do any project I can sink my hands into in general. I enjoyed watching the video instruction as well as using the written ones. I am going to make a matching hat and mittens, do you have patterns for those as well (ohhhh, never mind I was looking through your blog and jackpot, the one with the little bear ears, just aweeee).

The only thing I could think of in the video where I was stuck was when attaching the edging on which side to start , other than that I just miscounted, lol, haven't we all!!

    With thanks, hugs, and appreciation,

  26. Thank you Tamara, I appreciate your support. I am glad you found everything you are looking for.

  27. This is my second crochet project (ever!). I found it easy to pick up on your instructions on the video and just had one small question - my booties are turning out rather large, but I am using whatever yarn they suggested for a beginners project (I made a ribbed hat). I am guessing this is the reason why my booties are too big? I am using an "F" hook like you suggested, but the poor booties look more like boots for my toddler :/ Any particular yarn you would suggest I look for??

  28. thank you for the instructions and the youtube video. you said this wasn't for beginners, but your booties where the first project i ever did. so i think it can be. I am using these instructions this time, because i am trying to learn how to read patterns. now is only I can get my booties smaller... lol curse my love of thicker wool/yarn! Thank you again!
