Abbreviations
FHDC = Foundation Half Double Crochet
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
CH = Chain


Size H Crochet Hook
4-ply Worsted Weight Yarn

I am providing two starts for the flower.
Start 1: Chain Foundation: Color A Chain 85, *15 HDC, SL ST across 2 CH, complete 5 times total from * for the foundation.

Start 2: This start is used in the video tutorial. Foundation: Color A *15 FHDC, CH 4, complete 5 time from *

Edging: Color B, *3 SC in ea of the next 3 Sts, 9 DC in ea of the next 9 Sts, 3 SC in ea of the next 3 Sts, SL ST in CH's to next SC. Complete 5 times total from * for side 1. SL ST around end of section to the SC on the opposite side. *3 SC in ea of the next 3 Sts, 9 DC in ea of the next 9 Sts, 3 SC in ea of the next 3 Sts, SL ST in CH's to next SC. Complete 5 times total from * for side 2.

Now fold each segment to the center, sewing each chain section together at the center. Continue until all petals are folded and sewn together.

Center: CH 4 Join, CH 1, 12 DC, Join. SL ST in every other stitch. Join. This will make the center poofy. Sew to center of the flower.

You can also make a center stamen by twisting the yarn, then folding it in half so it will wind around itself.

    You can use them on gifts if you want to. They will have many uses. I think they would look very nice on a gift.

Baby Afghan - I chained 100 for the baby afghan and used a size K hook and 4 ply yarn.

Multiple: 5

Materials
4 ply yarn
Size K crochet hook - You can use other size hooks for this project

Abbreviations
SK - Skip
Ch - Chain
DC - Double Crochet
EA - Each
SP - Space

Drop Stitch - The drop stitch will be worked below the two previous row of shell stitches. Wrap the yarn over the hook, insert the hook 2 rows below, between the shell stitches, pull the yarn up. Repeat one more time for a total of 5 loops on the hook.

Round 1: Ch 2, 11 HDC in loop, do not join. (12 HDC)

Round 2: 2 HDC in-between each HDC; (24 HDC) mark beginning stitch with marker.

Round 3: 1 HDC in-between next st, 2 HDC(HDC INC) in-between next st; (36 HDC)

Round 4: 1 HDC in-between ea HDC around to beg marker.

Round 5: 1 HDC in-between each of the next 2 st's, 2 HDC in next space; continue around to beg marker. (48 HDC total)

Round 6-21: HDC in-between each HDC around to desired length of cap.

Extended or Long Double Crochet - This is where you will work a double crochet several stitches below the row you are on. You will need to pull up on the stitch and allow for some additional yarn, so the stitch does not sag.

Multiple: 4
You will add 4 chains for each segment of the pattern stitch that you want to add to the width.

Example: If you want to make a baby afghan with a size I/5.5mm crochet hook, 4-ply yarn, you will chain 108. This will give you an estimated width of 34 inches.
