Have you ever seen people with the tops of their heads chopped off in photos, as tho the photograpHER  had no clue how to aim a camera!? Well, I have second thoughts on this!  Just maybe, the photograpHER is trying to relay a message about the person they are taking a picture of!  Pictures speak without words & speak tens of thousands of words!  Pictures relay messages, without words!  A whole lot smarter people that me, are revealing some of their secrets on how to express a message, hidden in an image!  Sometimes the image may hold a secret message, sometimes it just may be left to the person viewing the image, to interpret a meaning!  But ALWAYS REMEMBHER, Art is that in the EYE of the BeholdHER and AdministratHER!  Just because it is a computHER, doesn't mean the gendHER is smartHER than HER!  Sometimes they are a bit stinkiHER, sneakiHER & meanHER to HER!

Baby Afghan - I chained 100 for the baby afghan and used a size K hook and 4 ply yarn.

Multiple: 5

Materials
4 ply yarn
Size K crochet hook - You can use other size hooks for this project

Abbreviations
SK - Skip
Ch - Chain
DC - Double Crochet
EA - Each
SP - Space

Drop Stitch - The drop stitch will be worked below the two previous row of shell stitches. Wrap the yarn over the hook, insert the hook 2 rows below, between the shell stitches, pull the yarn up. Repeat one more time for a total of 5 loops on the hook.

Row 1: DC in the 4th CH from the hook, DC in the next CH, Skip 4 chains, in the next CH(5th chain) work *2DC, CH1, 2DC, SK 4 CH's, Repeat from * across for the width, 1 DC in ea of the last 2 chains.

Row 2: CH 2, DC in the next DC, work *2DC, CH1, 2DC in the next CH 1 Space. Repeat from * across for the width, 1 DC in ea of the last 2 DC.

Round 1: Ch 2, 11 HDC in loop, do not join. (12 HDC)

Round 2: 2 HDC in-between each HDC; (24 HDC) mark beginning stitch with marker.

Round 3: 1 HDC in-between next st, 2 HDC(HDC INC) in-between next st; (36 HDC)

Round 4: 1 HDC in-between ea HDC around to beg marker.

Round 5: 1 HDC in-between each of the next 2 st's, 2 HDC in next space; continue around to beg marker. (48 HDC total)

Round 6-21: HDC in-between each HDC around to desired length of cap.

Extended or Long Double Crochet - This is where you will work a double crochet several stitches below the row you are on. You will need to pull up on the stitch and allow for some additional yarn, so the stitch does not sag.

Multiple: 4
You will add 4 chains for each segment of the pattern stitch that you want to add to the width.

Example: If you want to make a baby afghan with a size I/5.5mm crochet hook, 4-ply yarn, you will chain 108. This will give you an estimated width of 34 inches.
